In the process of solving practical computational problems it is quite often necessary to calculate roots of different degrees. Usually in computer programming, standard library functions for calculating logarithms and exponents or iterative methods are used for this purpose. Analytical methods of successive approximations, which are frequently used in calculating arithmetical roots, are universal, but they do have some drawbacks, one of which is that the computation time depends on the value of the argument and on the choice of the first approximation.
